* Spent a year on active duty w/ND Army NG (1961-62)
* Graduated Minot State 1967 (took awhile, but I spent a lot of time working at KXMC-TV and KCJB radio, & playing golf). Was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity.
* Worked as construction office mgr in NE, IN, WV and back to NE (got married in Omaha during this time span)
* Moved back to ND in 1969 & lived in the Red River Valley for 12 years before moving to Bismarck 1982.
* Served as mayor of Riverside ND (now part of West Fargo)
* Spent most of my working life in info technology -programming, analysis, project mgt & team leading. I did try sales for awhile, but apparently I'm not sufficiently aggressive to be really good at it.
* Some traveling; Caribbean, Mexico, Canada (naturally, eh?), Alaska & Hawaii. Absolutely loved our time in Alaska.
* Amateur photography & computers would be my "hobbies". Golf was actually a way of life, so I don't count that as a hobby. Is that allowed??
* Still love to sing. Did sing w/Bismarck-Mandan Civic Chorus for about 12 years.

As a late-comer to MHS (1959), I was more than nervous coming from a class of 23 in Westhope to the "big city" and to our class of over 300. I do remember trying to start a dress-up trend (tie/sport coat) for the guys one day a week. Didn't work out too well as I recall. I was fortunate to be student director of both band and choir.
