Joan Yvonne Lucier, 63, Minot, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, in a Minot hospital, with her family by her side.
Joan was born on June 25, 1943, in Minot, the daughter of LaVurne and Marion (Peterson) Anderson. She was the eldest of the nine children. Joan attended school in Minot and graduated in 1961.
Joan married the love of her life, Ronald Lucier, on May 19, 1962, in Colorado Springs, CO, where he was stationed in the Army. They returned to Minot in 1963, where she was employed for seven years with Osco Drug and White Drug. Joan and Ronald were blessed with their two children, Renata in 1967 and Richard in 1969. Joan then became a stay at home wife and mother. She loved attending her daughters dance recitals and her sons sporting events. After her children were grown, she still kept her mother skills at work taking care of her first grandchild. They loved spending quality time together, whether they were shopping, picnicking on the front porch, or just sitting around. They enjoyed each others company. Years later she was excited to be blessed with three more grandchildren, that she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with.
Joan was a member of a bowling league and golf league. She loved going to movies, snowmobiling, going to the casino, and having lunch with her girlfriends up until her health failed. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was always the center of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
