Three years later we celebrated Corinne's 63rd birthday during our 45th class reunion in Minot.

Corinne and hubby Paul thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the relatively small group of classmates. A highlight was the tour of downtown Minot and our old stomping grounds, Central Campus.

To say that Corinne's passing has left holes in many a heart is an understatement. Whenever the Round Robin gathers we stop our chattering to pause, look up, and let her know how very much she is missed.

Del Rae and Laural took this bittersweet opportunity to share memories of Corinne's last days and of the very moving funeral service.  Corinne will never lose her place in our hearts and memories.

Corinne and I were classmates -- for at least 4 years at Washington Grade School and later for 4 years at St. Olaf College, where she became good friends with my future wife.  They traveled by train together from Northfield to Minot to meet the St. Olaf Choir when we were on our way home from our West Coast Tour in 1965.

Much later, toward the end of her life, we found each other again and renewed our friendship in the Washington, D.C. area.  Corinne and Paul arranged a special visit with the Dick Dahlens one gorgeous spring weekend in Pennsylvania.  The photo below was taken at that time (1998?) and shows her infectious smile and always upbeat personality.  Of the thousands of people I've met, Corinne stands out as having the most positive outlook on Life imaginable.  No wonder she is missed by so many.
