Victoria Swiss, 73, Kramer, ND formerly of Minot, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, in her home.

Victoria was born on July 7, 1943 in Minot to Lawrence “Curly” and Helen (Getzlaff) Miller in Minot, ND. She was raised on the family farm in Towner ND, until moving to Minot with her family.  Victoria graduated from Minot High School in 1961.

Following high school, she completed her education and training as X-Ray technician. Victoria worked in numerous clinical settings in Minot, ND and Tacoma, Washington over the years.

Victoria married Vernon Swiss Jr, in Minot in 1962, while he was on leave from the Army. Six months later he returned and they lived in Tacoma, WA for a short time before deciding to make Minot there home.

She raised two boys, Steven and Charles. While in Minot, she was an active leader in Minot Boy Scouts. In 1989, they moved to Lake Metigoshe, where she and her husband were active in Bottineau Lions Club and the yearly cheer basket drive. In 2006, Vickie and Vern made Kramer, ND their new home. Her health has been in decline for the past few years, but Vern has been able to provide her care and love in her last days.  She will be missed by all who shared in her life.

Victoria is survived by her husband, Vernon Swiss Jr. of Kramer; sons, Steven Shane Swiss of Bismarck and Charles Keith Swiss of Bottineau; grandchildren, Brandon, Mathew and Zachary Swiss and Jared and Briar Kornkven; sister, Kathy Granzin of Spokane, WA; brother, Robert Miller of Minot along with extended family, Joy (Swiss) and David Ryan and family of Glendive, MT and the Miller family of Towner ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held.
