From the family program at Paulette's memorial service:

Paulette was born in Minneapolis, MN, and lived there until 1950, when her
family moved to Velva, ND. Her parents were so very sensitive to Paulette's
interest in music, that in 1950, they purchased a beautiful Wurlitzer piano.
Her mother faithfully sat with her day by day, helping and encouraging her in
all the necessary practicing. In 1956, they moved to Minot, ND, where she
graduated from high school and was fortunate, because of her parents'
commitment to provide her with a good education, continued her music
education at Indiana University and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of
Music Education. In 1967, she graduated from Ball State University, with a
Master of Music. For the next 7 years, she taught elementary instrumental
music in the Minot Public School system. In 1973, she moved to California
with her Aunt Lorraine and began teaching music classes at the Yamaha
Music School in Fullerton. It was there that she met Gregg De Lorto and
they were married in 1974. What an answer to prayers, when her parents
and her sister and family also moved to California!
They raised their daughter, Tina, working in the retail food industry, who has
given them 2 beautiful grandchildren: Marissa (currently a Dental X-Ray
Technician and Ryan (a U.S. Marine). What great times they all had
together!
Paulette developed a music program for young children, which she
implemented in many Orange County preschools and also taught several
private piano lessons for the next 10 years. In the summer of 1985, upon
the encouragement of her sister, Kathy, she worked for some temporary
agencies. In December of 1985, she worked for Urban Group, Inc., ( a real
estate finance company in Irvine, CA. She continued on as Executive
Secretary for Continuing Life Communities (located in Carlsbad) until
January, 2009.
With great joy and thankfulness to the Lord, she played her keyboard (JV
90 Roland Synthesizer) with the Worship Group at Pacific Hills Church for
the Thursday & Sunday services, along with Women's Bible Study, and
other special events/weddings. What a wonderful blessing it was for
Paulette and her husband to be united in their commitment and love to
worship the Lord in song.
Paulette has touched many people with her life, not only in music, but by
her sweet spirit and unique giftedness to love and serve others. She taught
children along with caring for the elderly, while remaining young at heart.
She totally enjoyed herself with outings to the beach as often as possible,
having fun in everything she did. She attracted everyone to her, like a
magnet.
What a blessing it has been this past 35+ years. She has been the wind in
my sails and full cup of blessings to me! She will be terribly missed by all
who knew her.
“Well done good and faithful servant.”
“Enter into the Joy of the Lord.”
